About Me
Peter Nigel Estes, born 1966, is a lifelong artist who coined the term “Vibrant Impressionism” as a trademark for his art.
Working mainly with palette knife and primary acrylics in heavy impasto, Peter’s distinctive, tactile style evokes warm feelings, rather than telling a story…
reflecting certain personal memories and emotions, while inviting the viewer to share in a colorful burst of a moment.
Peter has an eclectic background, and has pursued artistic expression through the many stages of his life… from professional musician, to bestselling children’s author, to acting, film making, and now painting… “Art has always been cartwheeling through my veins like ten million fireworks, keeping me vibrant and alive.”
Peter has recently been juried into such exclusive art shows as The Hilton Head Arts Fest, Atalaya Arts Festival, and Brookgreen Gardens Art Show, as well as having a permanent spot in the coveted Night Market in downtown Charleston, SC on Friday and Saturday nights.
Peter was also recently honored to received an award from Chraleston’s Mayor, John Tecklenburg.
